🎉 City of Jackson to Host Black History Month Celebration at City Hall! 🎭🎨
Join us as we celebrate Black History Month with an incredible showcase of visual and performing arts from our local Black community! This marks the 3rd year of our City Hall celebration, and we’re excited to highlight the talent, culture, and contributions that make Jackson so special.
✨ Live Performances will take place on:
📅 Friday, February 7 – Opening Ceremony featuring a Proclamation, Speaker James Cherry, and performances by Vonda Peet & Ayanna Corintha
📅 Friday, February 28 – Closing Celebration with performances by Victoria Wedley, Jackson Central-Merry Dance Team, and Destiny Church Choir
🖼️ All Month Long: Experience powerful visual art exhibits by Neveah Burdine, Stormie Steele, Chrystal Brown, Courtney Haynes, and Jordan Nichols on display at City Hall.
🏛️ City Hall will be illuminated in red, yellow, and green throughout February in honor of this celebration.
